Blair Mill Elementary School-Watershed Day May 1, 2010
Southeastern Montgomery County Chapter of Trout Unlimited partnered with
numerous groups to hold the second annual Watershed Day Event at Blair Mill
Elementary School in Horsham, PA on Saturday May 1.
There were trees planted on the school property as well as in the
Clearbrook Park wetlands. There was also a rain garden being constructed on
the side of the school. Hopefully the students, parents and neighborhood
residents all had a good time while learning about conservation and our
watershed.
Special thanks to Nancy Doherty and Kathy Dick from Blair Mill Elementary
School, Susan Harris and Kristina Henderson from the Montgomery County
Conservation District, Paul Racette from PEC, Andy Desko from PAF&BC, Jason
Cruz from PWD, and Tony Federici from URS. Donna Pitz for your help with the
wetlands. I need to thank Kevin Spearing and Kevin Dick for their help.
