On Saturday, April 10th, we had our first work day of the year at the Natural
Land Trust in Horsham. While some of us planted 75 Elm trees, others were busy
repairing the netting around the trees that we had planted in the last two
years. Between the deer, mice and the heavy snows of the past winter, there
was much to take care of. As always, the Thompsons not only assisted us, but
also provided breakfast and lunch. While more work needs to be done at the
trust, we had accomplished a lot. We are hoping to get back there to finish
making repairs and to add protection to the newly planted elm trees.
