POLAR BEAR OUTING JANUARY 15, 2011

On Sat., Jan. 15, the chapter held its annual Polar Bear Fishing Trip. We had met at the parking lot at the Pennypack Ecological Trust and car pooled up to the Little Lehigh where we fished for several hours. Despite the cold, we had a good time and some of us actually caught some.

     Normally we would have had a picnic set up by the fly shop. Unfortunately, Rod had to close the shop this year due to the economy. After fishing, we went to the Brass Rail to eat a hot and hearty lunch.

     As always, everyone enjoyed the outing. Our next planned fishing trip is in May with the annual banquet being held in March.
