Our Second annual Polar Bear trip to the Heritage section of the Little Lehigh was on Saturday, January 31.  As anticipated, it was cold with 6” of snow on the ground.  There was a contingence of eight brave soles that made the trip.  Dennis Mora did his superior job of snagging the only fish caught that day.  We all had fun.  There was plenty of chili supplied by the Little Lehigh Fly Shop and this year Mike Wilson did an outstanding job of cooking the dogs.

Fly Tying Classes – Sam is still holding his classes for those interested.

Trout in the Class Room – Dennis will be meeting with the reprehensive of one Phila. School this week in the process of completing the necessary applications.

Mike Wilson said that he will be making the plane reservations this week for the trip to Colorado in July.

Mike Wilson brought up the passing of Al Miller, the creator of “Al’s Rat” fly.  A vote was taken and the proceeds of this weeks raffle will be donated in his honor.

One of the founding members of this chapter, Joe Veasey passed away this week.  His OB should be listed tomorrow.  For those members that did not know him, his devotion kept the club together in the early years.

We are still looking for a Treasury, Dennis has been responsible for the position for over six years and it’s time for a break.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:36.
