TU Minutes - December 11, 2012

     Meeting called to order by Rich Terry.  Santa made an early appearance and each member received something from Santa.

     The financial report was read and approved. We have a balance on hand of $4037.17.

     Ray Miller was introduced as our guest speaker for the evening.

     The chapter polar bear expedition will take place at 10 o' clock on January 12, 2013.  Those interested should meet on Creek Rd along the
Pennypack.  The plan is to fish for awhile and then adjourn to Miller Ale House in Willow Grove across from the Home Depot off Rte 611 at
12:30 p.m. for lunch.  Anyone not interested in fishing is welcome to come for lunch at 12:30.

     Denis Mora reported on Trout in the Classroom.  He said the equipment is working well and everything is on schedule.  There was some
discussion on enlarging the program.  Several suggestions were made Denis will put out an email to board members providing contact names for
Trout in the Classroom.

     The banquet will be held Saturday March 16.  Some prizes have been purchased.

     The fly show in Lancaster, Pa. is on March 2 and 3.  Our chapter will take part.   Banquet tickets will be sold at the fly show.

     Denis reminded the membership that the dues were now due.

     The January chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 29th, not on the 8th.

     Mike Wilson said that the California fishing trip this year probably won't be able to include Yosemite National Park.  The trip will
be July 5 or 6 to July 14th.  The Sacramento River will be the primary stream to fish.  Some floats will be arranged.   Mike figures the trip
will cost about $1750.00.  Those interested should sign up now as Mike is going to start making arrangements.

     The Penns Creek trip will probably be held April 18 -21st, 2013.

     The work days this summer will be August 17th, September 14th and  October 12th.  There will be more information on this later. Mark your

     The business meeting ended.  The members were treated to a fine power point presentation on fishing in Patagonia by Ray Miller.
