TU Minutes - October  9, 2012

Rich Terry called the meeting to order.  The minutes from the previous  meeting were read and approved.  Rich gave the treasurer's report.  The
annual report has been filed and we are in compliance. The balance on hand is $5510.00.  The treasurer's report was approved.

The National TU has requested that we update our bylaws at our next meeting on November 13th.  We will vote on this.

The trout stocking has been put off until Thursday, November 8th at 1 p.m Those interested in helping should meet in the Pennypack Trust parking lot at 1 p.m.  Rich made some comments about the successful chapter Alaska trip.  Mike Wilson gave a "barf bag" award to Rich.

There will be a tree planting on Saturday, October 13 at the National Land  Trust Site.  There will be 36 river birches.  The trees will be covered
with a green mesh to protect them.  Mike Wilson is looking for anyone who can help unload the trees on Thursday, the 11th.  The tree planting will
be at 8 a.m. at the Trust site at 612 Mann Road, Horsham.  Mike said the steelhead fishing trip will be November 16th to the 18th.  \

Mike talked about getting better prizes for the banquet.  He is going to buy two rods from Echo.

Next year's chapter fishing trip will be to California. The dates will be from June 22-29 or July 6-13. Anyone interested in going should talk to Mike.

Those who went on the Alaskan trip had a great time.  The food was unbelievable.  They saw bear, seals, whales and caught some halibut.
Fishing was difficult but lots of fun.

Denis Mora reported on Trout in the Classroom.  There is not much going on  now.  A chiller problem was detected, but is now ok.  The first weekend in  November, they will have fertilized eggs delivered.

Rich said that he had been contacted by Healing Waters.  He asked if there would be any members who could spend some time with veterans. After some discussion, it was decided that Rich would get more information for the meeting.

 The meeting was adjourned.

 Respectfully submitted,

 Bill McNamara
