TU MINUTES Chapter 468  October 12, 2010

Rich Terry called the meeting to order.  The minutes from the September meeting were read and approved.  The financial report was read
and approved.  We have a balance of $ 3873.84.

There will be a work day, October 16.  Those who can make it should meet at the Thompson's at 8 a.m.  Mike reported on his earlier visit to
the Thompson's property.  He said the elm trees we planted were doing ok, but a lot of other trees are not doing well.  The work day will be
used to improve whatever we can at the Thompson's.  Thompson's have purchased 38 acres so the area will not be developed.   Mike suggests
that we put in wetlands and wooded areas.  The lower end of the property is not acceptable for Trout in the Classroom trout.  A suggestion was
made to use Harper's Run.  Rich thanked Mike for taking time to go to the site.

Denis Mora gave a report on Trout in the Classroom.  He said 5th graders will be part of the program.  There are 160 schools statewide
involved.  Den said the teacher will make a CD for us to see.   All is well going well with Trout in the Classroom.  Den will speak to children
in the classroom.  George Benson suggested a couple of places where trout could be put in the Pennypack.

Rich reported that we will stock the Pennypack in October or if the water is low, maybe November.  Rich thanked Den and others who helped
out at the TU picnic in September.

Mike reported Blair Mill Elementary School wetlands are doing very well.  Most of the trees we planted are also doing well.

We need to address new plan for banquet.  The committee will meet to get a new game plan.

Rich announced a 10 minute break and said Frank Swarmer will take over after that.

Respectfully submitted,

Bill McNamara
