TU Chapter 468
Minutes from September 10, 2013 meeting.
Rich Terry called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone back. John Beck gave the treasurer's report. We have a balance of $5959.78.
The report was approved.
Rich reported that the chapter will buy fish for stocking in October. He also talked about the chapter picnic. There were 25 in
attendance and plenty of good food was provided. All had a good time.
Rich asked if anyone could be in attendance at the PA TU state meeting in Shavers Creek near State College.
Mike Wilson said our workdays are Saturday, September 21st and October 19th at the National Land Trust site. This will be for planting
20 to 30 trees.
Mike said he would put out a signup sheet for steelhead fishing in the Salmon River the 1st week of November.
Mike gave a report on the chapter trip to Northern California from July 5th to 14th. He said the fishing was good. The trip for 2014 will
be August 8 to 17 to Colorado. Mike ran through the details of what the trip will entail.
Mike also reported that he attended a meeting of the William Penn Foundation. They have an interest in stream conservation. Our chapter
could get funding for some worthwhile projects that would benefit the Pennypack.
Roman Mobyz, our youngest member gave a sterling report on his attendance at the 2013 River Conservation and Fly Fishing Youth Camp.
Beisde having fun and rescuing people, he learned a lot and had a great time.
Some of the members shared their summer fishing experiences with the group.
The next chapter meeting will be October 8, 2013.
