TU Chapter 468 Minutes - February 12, 1013

Rich Terry called the meeting to order.  John Beck gave the treasurer's report.   John reported that we have a balance of $1858.04.
The report was approved as read.

Rich made an appeal for members to sell tickets for the chapter banquet, which will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. The
raffle ticket prizes are:  a 12' Wilderness Tarpon Kayak; a Sage ZXL 590 9' 5WT rod; and a Sage 3850 5WT fly reel.  A power point show by Denis Mora and Mike Wilson will be the evening's entertainment.

Rich reminded everyone that the Valley Forge Fly Show will be held at VF Middle School on Thursday, March 14th.

Those members who signed up and paid will hear from Rich as to when the private stocking of the Pennypack will take place.

Denis Mora reported that the first delivery of the Trout in the Classroom fish have all died.  There is no answer as to why.  Denis said
that everything must be so balanced in the tank water for the fish to survive.  Swenson School will pass on the program this year.  The
Crossing School has gotten another delivery and so far the fish are doing fine.

Mike Wilson said he has letters for members to show prospective donors of gifts for the banquet.

Dick McKinney said our Penn's Creek chapter outing will be Thursday April 18 to Sunday 21st.  A signup sheet will be put out at the next
meeting.

Denis Mora said the Fish and Boat Commission is now selling licenses for one to three years.  There is a new youth mentored program.  It will
held on March 23rd.  Take a kid fishing.  They can register online for this event. In our area Levittown Lake will be used for this program.

Rich reminded everyone that help can still be used for the Fly Show in Lancaster, Pa. on March 2nd and 3rd.  Banquet and raffle tickets will be
sold at the show.

The meeting ended so members could check out our "flea market".

Respectfully submitted.
