Minutes for the Jan. 29th meeting.
Meeting was called to order at 7:35pm.
The previous months minutes were not on hand to read.
The Treasurerís report was read and approved.
Rich Terry spoke about this yearís Polar Bear outing which was a success with most members catching fish. We fished the Pennypack for a couple of hours and then had lunch at Millerís Ale house in Willow Grove.
Rich reminded the membership that the Fly Fishing show in Lancaster will be on Sat. March 2nd and Sunday, March 3rd. We will be manning a booth at the show both days. Please come and enjoy the show.
This yearís banquet will be on Saturday, March 16th at the Moose hall on Davisville road. Rich bought some raffle tickets with him to pass out. He will mail tickets to those members who were not present.
This yearís prizes at the banquet include a Kayak, a 5wt, 9 ft. Sage Fly rod and a Sage reel as well.
Denis Mora spoke about the Trout in the Classroom program at the two local schools. Basically, most of the fished had died but the Fish and Boat Commission will replace the fish. The program is proceeding at both schools.
Break was called at 8pm. During the break, the monthly dollar raffle tickets were sold. There were some good prizes this month. Among them was a new Sage vest which was won by Mike Mulray.
After the break, Cameron Cipponeri spoke on fishing the various rivers in the Basalt area of Colorado, including the Frying Pan and the Roaring Fork rivers. It was a very informative presentation that kept the members interest though out the presentation.
